This is one image of a short series about buffalos in Amboseli. On that particular afternoon the luck was on my side and I could work for about two hours in a short distance with a group of buffalos. I was certainly surprised they accepted me in their proximity as it is well known that buffalos do not like human nearby. But they seemed to be quite relaxed that day. These amazing animals are really strong and it is a pleasure to observe them free. They tend to be in larger groups, but in this particular occasion there were only four. One of them out of the frame, just to balance the composition. The beautiful reflexes over the water, the cloudy and textured sky were simply amazing and the perfect backdrop for this image. While looking through the view finder the three birds just flew over the buffalos and I could capture that precise moment making this picture really special. The feelings I had there were calm and peace. Quiet beautiful moments in Amboseli.
