This was really a difficult photograph to make. The light was really beautiful, the background,… and the giraffes group. But they were running fast and even faster as I wanted to get closer. There was no other way that to drive parallel to them with the car, fast, trying to anticipate their position and then jump out of the vehicle with the camera settings ready. There was only a couple of seconds to frame and shoot. After many attempts I finally got the shot I wanted and that I believe reflects the intensity of the moment. This beautiful line of giraffes running free along the plain in Amboseli is all about. It is just beauty, it is real, it is freedom and wildness.
